This page presents my experiences with the world of computers. I will show you some of the machines and programs I've been working on. It all started with a strange feeling that I needed logic and control.
This is Anti-Robot-Robot written for UK-101. It's the first computer game I ever wrote for a computer, disregarding the HP-67 which is more of a calculator. The language was an 8kb ROM-Basic written for the UK-101, and I dont have the source for this program any more. If I ever find any old listings I will attach them to this page. Introduceing this game was a lot of text explaining how you came to work as a cleaning lady in the most secret of the presidents rooms. What president? The president of the U.S. of A. Of course! It was during the cold war, and the SDI program was developing. Here the president could manually control 10 anti-robot-robots stationed just outside of Washington. The red telephone rang! The president was on the jar. Well brought up as you are, you lifted the phone of the hook. You shouldn't have done that, because the voice in the other end spoke russian! As you could not provide the correct response, the voice grew irritated, and finally the russian hang up. A little later all red lights went on and the alarm sounded. There was still no president. A panel opened, instructions showed how to control the missils, and a screen showed you the situation. Instructions were:

Space bar fires missil.
'L' key for left.
'R' key for right.

And the first russian missil was sighted over Washington.

It was all actually written in swedish, so the keys were 'V' for left, and 'H' for right. I included these keys in this version, as well as the arrow-keys. Before you start playing, adjust the view so that you can see the entire black area representing the UK-101 screen, an then click the black UK101 screen to make the keyboard focus to the Java applet.

I enjoyed writing the game. Thats a game in itself. The kids on the block just loved playing it. There had never been anything like this before. The only thing they had seen was that old game of TV-tennis.
